The American Legion District Five held its Boy State California Honoring and Orientation Luncheon for this years Boy State in June.  There were more than 300 people in  attendance, which included more than 80 Boys State delegates, their parents, Post members, District, State, and Boy State representation.

The Luncheon is vital in brining the Boys State delegates and parents together to outline what Boy State is and is not, safety procedures at Boys State, how it works, and the logicistics to getting to Boy State.

Both the Boy State delegates and their parents were honored.  After interviewing the boys from Petaluma – I was very impressed with their bearing as outstanding young adults. The parents have every righttobe proud of their boys.
